Connecting to a google account if Your Phone doesn't have internet

By

There are a couple of ways to connect to the internet with a phone. But first you must have a phone that is able to connect to the internet, either a "smart phone" or a phone with web to go services or Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is a free service sometimes provided at area McDonalds, Starbucks, airports, library's, car dealerships while you wait, Panera Bread, etc. or places that that advertise free web wi-fi. You usually get a code from the place and log in using that code. Or if your phone can scan and automatically pick up Wi-Fi in the area, then you can get online that way. Since Wi-Fi is "public" airwaves, I would recommend watching what you do or where you go while on the internet. banking, checking credit card balances, even posting is all exposed to potential hackers picking up free info off the public shared airwaves. The second way to get on the internet is signing up for web to go which allows you to go online with your phone through a paid for service through your cellular provider. This allows you to visit specific web sites set up for your type of phone, that work best with it's viewing systems. Most of these services either charge for limited use by the megabyte, or unlimited service with a prepaid amount of money for that usage. The most popular way to get on the internet is by using a smart phone that is geared to use the internet in everything it does. It can still access Wi-Fi, but usually will use the internet that comes with the phone. This is paid for monthly with the phone bill, since smart phones won't work right without the internet usually. The internet lets you check your email. your social sites such as Facebook or Twitter, the weather in your area and others you might be traveling to, traffic, check on movies and times, find restaurants, and basically anything you could do from your computer at home. A smart phone is like having a tiny computer in your hands, which is why they are so much more expensive. Any Android based phone is based around a start-up Google account which should be done right after you purchase the phone so if you want to transfer names/numbers/addresses etc. they will get copied to your google account. Then you can log onto any computer and get your info whether your phone saves it or loses it later. Sim cards do this too, but sometimes going from one type of phone to another can interfere with this, especially with older phones. The newer phones are actually being updated with newer sim cards that can handle the faster data speeds that are out there. However, an older phone that is not 3G capable (a speed download of data measure) will not go faster even with a Sim card change. So many folks will be dragged into this new, smart phone, faster communication world kicking and bucking whether they like it or not if they want to be able to use a phone device in the future. Coming soon, front facing cameras to video chat right from your cell phone, cell phones used like debit cards to pay for items, and cell phones that connect to your car stereo systems and play internet music such as Pandora to name a few.
